The renowned ghazal singer Jagjit Singh died this morning, Monday October 10, at 0810 at age 70 at the Lilavati hospital in Mumbai deceased to the effects of a stroke.
“Jagjit Singh died at 8:10 after a terrible bleeding,” said Dr. Sudhir Nandgaonkar, Lilavati hospital spokesman.
Singh was hospitalized Sept. 23 after he had a stroke. He was immediately operated on.
Jagjit Singh was born in Sri Ganga Nagar, Rajasthan. He had four sisters and two brothers in his family and he was known as Jeet. He was popularly known as’ The Ghazal King “. Singh sang in many different languages including Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi and Nepal.
In 2003, the Padma Bhushan was awarded to the singer, the third highest Indian civil award.
Singh also sang for popular films like Arth, Prem Geet, Sarfarosh and Tarqeeb.

A melody song with fantastic lyrics, music and specifically Karthik’s voice is fabulous. When karthik’s sings “usurey poguthey”, my heart really goes away. It’s pleasant to listen this kind of song which really makes us to feel better. Lyrics describe the feeling of hero longing for her love who is staying away from him. Very Good.
Benny Dayal on a different track with defensive lyrics. Quite nice to listen it once. Average.
4. Song: Kaattu Sirukki
Singer(s): Shankar Mahadevan, Anuradha Sriram
I love the voice of Anuradha Sriram which I always do. But here you have a nice voice joining with Anuradha, its Shankar Mahadevan. Music is constant and different but it seems that there is not much music. Only lyrics for Anuradha Sriram is Kaattu Sirukki. Good.
5.Song: Kalvare

A very slow melody song A.R.Rehman which is again sung beautifully by Shreya Ghosal. Her voice is so soft, clean and the background music too. I listen to this song when I relax and it makes me to sleep. You should definitely listen to it. Very Good.
A song with flat music which will make you to dance or shake your head, it’s like a marriage song and the female voice is different and hard, but I think we will enjoy it with the video. Good
