Sourav Chandidas Ganguly nickname Bengal Tiger born on 8 July 1972 in Calcutta, Bengal. He is the one of the greatest left hander batsman India ever produce. Saurav Ganguly is a former Indian test cricketer and captain of the Indian national team. Till date, Dada was India’s most successful Test captain to date, winning 21 tests out of 49 tests he captained and leading India into the 2003 World Cup finals. An aggressive captain, Maharaja is credited with having nurtured the careers of many young players who played under him.

Sourav Ganguly Early life

Dada is the youngest son of Chandidas and Nirupa Ganguly. Dada father ran a flourishing print business and was one of the richest men in Kolkata. Sourav Ganguly is perhaps one of the richest Indian cricketer of recent times. Dada’s father Chandidas presides over a big joint family of over 50 people, though they all do not live in the same house. There are 22 bedrooms in his house, and the family possesses over 20 cars. Dada had a luxurious childhood and was nicknamed the Maharaja.

Sourav Ganguly is a talented cricketer but it is very surprising that Cricket was not his first love. Like all people who live in Calcutta, Dada’s first love was Football. Though Dada was asked to concentrate on his studies and not to play cricket, he was inspired to do so by his brother Snehasish Ganguly, an accomplished left-handed batsman for Bengal. Though he was actually right-handed, he batted left-handed so that he could use his brother’s equipment. After he showed some promise as a batsman, he was enrolled in a cricket academy. An indoor multi-gym and concrete wicket was built at home for him and his brother, and he would often watch cricket videos, especially those of David Gower, whom he admired.

Sourav Ganguly Married Life

Dada is married to Dona Roy Ganguly, the only child of Sanjeev and Sapna Roy born on August 22, 1976. Dona hails from a well-known Bengali family. The two families were once business partners. who was a next-door neighbour to the Ganguly family. But the relationship was strained and the young couple got married under cover. It was a typical bollywood masala love story where the hero and heroine are separated by their parents and so they run off to get married. And like the movie ends happily their families too joined but end of the marriage. Now they have a daughter name Sana ganguly. For more information see here

No Oscar For Slumdog Millionnaire

The movie “Slumdog Millionnaire” is good to watch but only one time, and it is ridiculous to hope for Oscar. It was shocking to know that movie got many Golden globe awards,I think that there were not movies in Golden Globe Awards so they gave many awards to this not so good movie.

The film maker thinks that the real India lives only in slums, but this view is “Myopic”.Why do people want to watch only poverty in India.India is not  only in slums.India has a glorious history, why can’t they see that side.Don’t they know that India is among those 6 countries who has sent Chandra Yaan on the moon.

And above all who the hell has authorised an outsider to depict India? How can an outsider depict the real India? All western countries enjoy backward India, they can not digest India as a fast growing country,so they try to degrade India by any means.

People of India are feeling happy that an Indian movie is getting awards but don’t they know that the film maker who is getting award in not an Indian and this movie is creating a very bad image of India. Many Indian film makers have made many movies on this topic but they didn’t get noticed because they were Indian, but an outsider comes and degrades India and people say “ wow! what a movie.” Why? because he is from western country and he can show anything bad about India. How stupid are we.Aren’t we?

The music of the movie is good and the actors are good too but I think Darsheel Safari is better than those.

So in conclusion I think The movie ‘Slumdog Millionnare is creating a bad image about India.

I have a passion for movies.I watch movies and comment critialy on that.
